The topics of sustainability and environment preservation are becoming more relevant not just in everyday life, but also in business undertakings. Increasingly more companies understand that eco-friendly solutions and business performance are not opposing matters. Growing consumer influence and increased expectations can be noted regarding a product's origin and its manufacturing process – the consumer is more aware of the importance of sustainability and environment preservation.
Sustainability is of major importance in the work practices of Elmoris as well. Since 2017, we have been manufacturing PVC-free lug caps and expanding their supply. We have already put an exclusive product on the market – the innovative 53 mm diameter PVC-free lug caps. We now manufacture and offer to the worldwide market a selection of eco-friendly lug caps in four sizes: the aforementioned 53 mm, as well as 63 mm, 66 mm, and 82 mm diameter.
PVC-free lug caps are particularly safe and eco-friendly. They are made using thermoplastic materials (TPE) instead of PVC and the softener it requires. Therefore, the migration of particles from the hermetic material into the product is significantly below the bounds set by Commission Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. They are suitable for sealing products even for the most sensitive consumers. Additionally, the sealing compound used in the manufacturing utilisation of the product does not emit any harmful substances into the atmosphere.
The first to try out our 53 mm diameter lug caps were Italian manufacturers who used them to seal their popular tomato sauce.
